Industrihistoria i Nissadalen

Vis kort

The water in the Nissan has always played a huge role for the industry. They have drawn power from this river since ancient times. Nissan is one of southern Sweden's longest rivers with a length of about 200 km. It originates just outside Taberg in the north and passing through Småland inland and Halland, and down to Halmstad in the south.

Unique environments have emerged in places where water power could be utilized. Many of these habitats are gone today, but to raise awareness of these and get visitors inspired is still important.
